When EMD released the first Amtrak SDP40F's they were ran on a shakedown run on the Santa FE before being released into passenger service. Here is 505,504, and 503 on their maiden run through Joliet IL. This was the only time these units pulled a freight train thus making this shot a rare one indeed. This shot was rejected by Railpics for high sun, so I'm sharing it here with you all. |
